Vogue.com basically revealed this morning that supermodel Jourdan Dunn is preggers. She is 19 years old. NY magazine followed suit and reported the pregnancy this morning. This is truly shocking.
British beauty Dunn was discovered in 2006 while shopping with a friend. After a few good seasons, walking for great designers, she amazed the fashion world when she walked for Prada in February 2008, becoming the first black model to do so in over a decade. And of course she was one of the four black supermodels to cover Italian Vogue's all black July 2008 issue. Basically Jourdan Dunn is not only one of the most successful black models ever, she's also one of the most successful models right now. I wish her happiness and health!
P.S. The father has not yet been revealed.
Sidenote: Some people are saying this is the end of her career. The fact that she's at the height of her career and is pregnant might put her off the map. I wonder if the same people said the same thing about Nadia Vodianova who became even more popular after having her son Lucas at the age of 19.
Vodianova did admit that she starved herself to lose all the baby weight she gained. Hopefuly Dunn doesn't do the same....
