It's A Matter of Glam

I selected a couple of pics from Sasha's great Italian Vogue editorial:

It makes me want to invest in a pair of embellished tights!

Need I Say More?

You guys know what I'm thinking! It's everywhere.

Before Sasha, before Chanel, before Coco, before Stam, my favorite model was Cintia Dicker.

Louis Vuitton inspired Tracy Morgan??

We saw the obvious influence of LV when MK and Ashley popped up in Toyoko with rabbit and mouse ears attached ontop their heads.

But can we say also that Tracy Morgan was inspired by the Fall 2009 Louis Vuitton collection??

Here's the cover of his new book, titled : I Am The New Black.

Here's a look from the Fall 09 LV collection:

LOL. You never know! The craziest people find inspiration from the most unsuspecting places.

Rihanna Does Paris Fashion

So Paris Fashion Week finished last week and the belle of the ball was undoubtedly, Ms Rihanna.

Last year, Rihanna shined bright with color. Here she was at the Fall 08 Chanel show last year:

(Last Year)
But this year, all she saw was black. Which makes sense since Parisians sure do love their black.

Rihanna in Givenchy

Love the hair.

Rihanna in Gareth Pugh

The see-through strips are sexy but not in an overt way. Also, the deep dark purple is an amazing lipstick shade.

Rihanna in Chanel

Ironically, the one time she doesn't wear black it's at Chanel (the house is known for it's usage of black and white)

Rihanna in Vivienne Westwood

I was hoping that she was just cold but no, she actually wore this over-sized jacket in the front-row.

Rihanna in Margiela Martin

She sure loves wearing gloves. Not a huge fan of this look.

Rihanna in Karl Lagerfeld:

Love the gloves! Despise the missing leg of the jumpsuit.

Rihanna in Gaultier

I adore this outfit. Those electric blue Christian Louboutoins are amazing and the cutouts in the front are crazy.sexy.cool.

Rihanna in Dior

Some may say that she's taking the 40s trend to the extreme here but I think it's cute and I adore the black feathers in her hair.

Rihanna in Hussein Chalayan:

On trend in those thigh high boots. Loved her version of the flat-top hairstyle.

Rihanna in Balmain

I despise harem pants but I love Balmain jackets.

So the Queen reigned supreme during Paris Fashion Week. Now that she was photographed everyday, I would like Rihanna to take a nice long break. She's fabulous and should not be photograph so often.

Women And Those Sky High Heels - Why?

Last week, after Alexander McQueen's amazing Paris show, The New York Times delved into the subject of "Why We Love the Shoes That Hurt Us". Some said that it showed power and sexuality. But others pointed out the fact that high heels help elongate our legs and body. And I gotta agree with them . I'm only 5' 3"" and let me tell you, my short stubby legs never look as long and lean as it does when I have on heels.

So, Viva La Heels!

Former Fattie Karl, Hates Current Fatties

"No one wants to see curvy women...You've got fat mothers with their bags of chips sitting in front of the television and saying that thin models are ugly," - Karl Lagerfeld

*sigh* Karl really has problems. Remember my other post about his dislike of bigger women?

Whoa. Perfection.

Masterpiece Theatre

I've never seen this model before but her name is Adama Diallo. And this is an AMAZING ediotrial. It's from UK Harper's Bazaar.

(Yes, I did use one of the images for the heading of the blog! It was too amazing to pass up!)
