Eva Longoria wore the Marchesa dress that I loved from Fall 09 Fashion Week at last week's Emmy's:
A lot of people hated it. They said she looked like a weird shaped gift that they did not want to unwrap...also they said her hair looked like crap. I will agree that her hair looked really bad (it's like she took some thick pomade and just slapped some on her scalp and let Tony slick it back). But the dress is really cute! Maybe it was fitted too low on her chest (it should have been a couple of inches higher) but besides that, I believe she looked really good...but whatever. I just think it's cool how this dress is about 3 weeks old and she's already rockin' it on the red carpet.

PEOPLE agree with me!
Well...I actually mean People magazine agrees with me. They came out with the Best & Worst dressed list and a friend of ours is on the list! (more on that later). Some of the Best Dressed were Michelle Obama (I agree), Eva Mendes, Rihanna (of course), SJP, and Fergie (wtf...). But yes. Back to our old friend who made the Worst Dressed List....Solange! Ms. Color Blind, Tacky, Hot Mess Princess was on that list:

The Best Looks...to ME.
So Fashion Week in NYC is over. Ive been watching Full Frontal Fashion non-stop. So here I have put together some of my favs. This is just Part 1. Part 2 will be tomorrow or in a couple of days. Ok, so I'll go in alphabetical order (pics from style.com):
3.1 Philip Lim
Anna Sui
Derek Lam (LOVED!)
Diane Von Furstenberg:
Donna Karen
Doo.Ri (I neeed this dress)
Erin Fetherston
Halston (umm..yes..that's Cintia Dicker in the blue one-shoulder dress!)
Herve Leger (sex on a stick...quote from style.com)
Jonathan Saunders (MY FAVORITE TWO LOOKS. LOVE IT!!):
Marchesa
Marc Jacobs! (It was more like Fall 09 than Spring 09..nonetheless...amazing...)Monique Lhuillier (I HATED the shoes...but the dresses were very pretty)
Okay. That was Part 1. What did you guys think? Btw, I really wasn't drawn to Marc by Marc Jacobs...strange I know. But my favorite so far has been Jonathon Saunders...the shoes were also amazing. I was disappointed by Michael Kors...he was doing his usual Americana designs but the use of only Primary colors bothered me....the designs were very pretty, though. Lastly, I'm so happy that Arlenis and Seisslee have been walking so much. They're ridiculously gorgeous. I do have this strange obsession with Chanel Iman but I think Arlenis and Seisslee are fiercer than her (sorry for using that word...but they're pretty fierce):

I'm excited to post Ralph Lauren's collection! It's totally unexpected. But anywhooo, please comment...let me know what you think about the pics I posted above. Part 2 will be posted VERY soon!

I'm ONLY 18 years late
Beverly Hills, 90210. I love this show. And I'm not talking about the new one on the CW..I'm talking about the original series that started in 1990 and ended in 2000. I'm almost finished with the first season and it's probably one of the greatest shows ever...trust me..watch it:
The fashion is hilariously bad..AND good. It's so funny to see where some of the current trends originated. 1. High waist jeans...look above. 2. Raybans...Dylan's fav. 3. Cropped t-shirts that you thought American Apparel had a monopoly on....nope, Donna loved them! Cute girly floral dresses...Kelly obviously had a whole closet filled with them. I could go on..but I won't and I'll just leave you with a pic of Luke Perry aka Dylan McKay aka wannabe James Dean aka Sexy 90s hottie:
I was probably 3 when this picture was taken.....sad I know.
P.S. It's fashion week. I'll give my thoughts when it's over.

OMG, She's Wearing My Dress!!
Prom....its a fancy party that represents the end of HS. It's where teenage girls pretend to be socialites and celebrities. It is sometimes done awkwardly. There is either too much concealer, chunks of red lipstick lodged in their braces, unflattering updos and....the list goes on. However, to the average teenage girl, those things are sooo insignificant. The only thing that would actually ruin a girl's magical/fairytale night is if some random chick was wearing her Jessica Mcclintock dress.
But this nightmare isn't only limited to Prom. It's basically a "leaving your house" nightmare. This recently happened to me at my 21st bday dinner. I bought this cute white Grecian-inspired dress from Forever 21 and my friend had the same dress! Yes....obviously I should have known that a duplicate was roaming the streets of NY, but I didn't care. I wanted a cheap white dress. Her dress was in a different color (green)....but still! I was depressed. So my lovely friend, S, kindly bought a new dress so that I would be happy on my night. But as I write my little anecdote up above...I think I might have been overreacting because I've been seeing the same skirt on all the celebs...and they don't seem to care.
Herve Leger bandage dresses have made women stop saying: "OMG..she's wearing my dress! I'm going to cut her!" to the less violent "Whatever..I look better than that bitch!"
Let's look at the ever popular Herve Leger high-waist bandage skirt that all the young girls have been rocking:
Cassie
RihannaDawn from Danity Kane (on the left)
Melissa from The Pussycat Dolls
Vanessa Simmons
It's a gorgeous skirt so I understand why so many young girls have been wearing it...but still..look above..that's A LOT of girls wearing the same skirt. What do you guys think? Is it fine to wear a piece of clothing KNOWING that so many people have worn it already? We've all spotted tons of girls wearing the same North Face fleece (atleast the ppl in Stony Brook did) or hipster guys wearing their V-neck American Apparel t-shirts. But I'm not sure how I feel about it. We all want to be different but when something feels sooo good (ie. the NF fleece) or looks cute (ie. AA tees) then who's to stop the 6 billion ppl on this earth from looking and feeling good.
Sidenote: How hot is Cassie's outfit?? (esp. those shoes!)
