Noooo! Not a Virus!

I think my computer has a virus. It won't let me click on Google linked sites. It won't let me post pics......how can I have a blog without being able to post pictures??? I don't know! I got Norton Anti-Virus (no, I didn't pay for it..maybe that's why its not working). I keep trying to "clean" my computer but the virus isn't leaving...it's eating my soullll.

I'm pretty sure I know how I got it. I was Goggling pics of Herve Leger skirts and all of sudden, I was under attack! My advice to you guys: never click on a sketchy international link...even if its for your blog. Viruses do not discriminate :(

Oh well. I should stop blabbing about this nasty evil virus and start working on getting rid of it!

When Certain People Try Too Hard...

So let's talk about Solange Knowles. She's the little sister of Ms. Beyonce Knowles (don't get me started on her). She is also a singer like her older sister. I really liked her single Crush...it came out 5 years ago (it's a cute song..d/l it). But to me, Ms. Solange Knowles tries WAY TOO HARD. I believe she sees that Rihanna is considered an eclectic style goddess...so she tries to follow suit. But, not surprisingly, she fails to live up to the cool, always hip Rihanna. An example:

So you say you wanna see MORE hot mess outfits that only Ms. Solange would wear...well then today is your lucky day!:Listen..I'm all for people taking style risks...that's the whole foundation of fashion (trying different things) But I believe when your mother is Hot Mess of the Decade: Mrs. Tina Knowles you're simply born with Hot Mess blood. I could write an essay about The House of Diarrhea but a picture says more....trust me:

Opinions are Abundant

So...the big fashion Do or maybe Don't of this week has been Rihanna's Balenciaga black & white gladiator boots:



Perez posted a pic of it and you know when he asks everyone's opinion...he probably hates it. Well this wasn't the first time she wore them...so I'm not sure why people are hating on them so much. She wore them on 106 & Park sometime this year (and no..I do not watch that show, I simply happened to come upon some a pic):
Anywhoo...so on every celebrity blog, there seems to be pics of her latest outing with the Balenciaga's...and on every site, there seems to be a lot of hate.

So since the name of the post is "Opinions are Abundant", I will give my very own opinion...I love them! And it's not because I love Rihanna..because I do...it's because I love Nicholas Ghesquière (Balenciaga's creative director). When I saw his Spring 2008 collection last year with all the structured flowered dresses and towering gladiator boots, I was shocked! It's simply art:
Btw, I know that this particular Balenciaga look is somewhat "last year" but since it was put back into the spotlight this week I have to talk about. Sooo what do you guys think?

So J and were talking about each of us starting a blog. She'll focus on VA...since she goes to school there and I'll stick with NY. We're each gonna talk about a whole array of things..but we'll probably focus on fashion, you know, like the back pages of Glamour (the Dos and Don'ts). Hopefully we can sneak some pics of good and bad fashion. I pray to God someone doesn't start screaming at me wondering why I'm taking a pic of them on the 6 train...oh well...

(Btw, I will not be using anyone's name on this thing..initials are good enough. I wouldn't want my friend's future bosses goggling them and reading random stories about them.)

So J hasn't started her blog yet...and I don't have any random pics of bad or even good fashion so you guys have to be happy with me talking about the fun day that I had yesterday...SORRY! Well, the picnic was great. I wore this zebra print maxi dress from H&M that was way too long for me. H put it perfectly when he said: Why did you buy a tall person's dress? lol It was PERFECT weather yesterday. Not too hot and a very nice breeze. I forgot how beautiful Central Park is:
But it was great. I got into a little tiff with someone who showed up later but I whatever...I had a grand time. This was basically our last get together before everyone starts school sometime next week. I start Wednesday...and I'm actually excited. I took a semester off...so I feel stupid for not learning in the last 8 months. Okay...sorry for ending on a school note but this first post is getting a tad bit long. So I will be updating soon, hopefully with some pics and funny stories. Bye!
